With an academic background in Molecular Genetics, professional experience in the biotech industry, and hands-on experience with bioinformatics, I am fascinated by the living world and how we can use computing to make advances in healthcare, biotech, and the outside world.

The world is complicated, and I am passionate about exploring how complicated things work together. I’m currently working on an M.S. in Complex Systems and Data Science at the University of Vermont, and I’m expecting to graduate May 2025 :)

I believe one of the greatest barriers to putting science into public practice is effective communication. Through my writing and leadership in a science mag, I aim to demystify scientific research, highlight its relevance, and inspire curiosity about the natural world.

Hey! I’m Anna, a master’s student at the University of Vermont graduating in Spring 2025 with an M.S. in Complex Systems and Data Science. In my work and academics, I have been broadly interested in genetics, evolution, healthcare, and biotech, and how big problems in computing and data science. Outside of this, I am passionate about making hard to understand topics in science accessible to the average person.
